ServiceMaster Restore of Sault Ste. Marie operates out of a 10,000 sq foot facility located on Black Rd. and currently has a fleet of 16 service vehicles.

Included in our staff is a full time Health and Safety Officer.  We maintain WSIB compliance, Pollution Liability Insurance and CGL coverage.

ServiceMaster Restore of Sault Ste. Marie has operated in the area since the early 1970’s and has become among the largest provider of insured disaster restoration services in the area. There is a staff of four estimator/project managers as well as support staff. We provide 24-hour water, fire and wind damage emergency service for customers.

Gary Potvin began working for ServiceMaster part time in 1973 while attending White Pines. After high school, Gary enrolled in the Civil Engineering Program at Sault College. Maintaining his part time work status at ServiceMaster, he was offered the opportunity to purchase part of the business in 1978. The ability to put lives back together after a disaster was something that appealed to him because of his passion for helping others. When the opportunity came up to buy the rest of the business, the deal was made and he became Owner of ServiceMaster. Gary is IICRC certified for Water Damage, Odour Control, Fire & Smoke Damage Restoration, and Applied Microbial Technician. 


Gary is commonly referred to as "Fearless Leader" by friends, family & work contacts. We asked our employees to describe Gary in three words and some of the answers that came back were: Caring, Optimistic, Compassionate, Smart, and Honest. Gary has a wealth of knowledge from his years of experience owning & operating a Disaster Restoration business - so if you have any questions, he's the guy to call.

Originally from Timmins, Ontario, Coralee is the Office Coordinator at ServiceMaster. Coralee managed bookstores in Colleges & Universities for 12 years before joining our team in 2015. She is passionate about helping people and making sure that things run smoothly for our customers, Insurance Companies and employees. This includes creating multiple spreadsheets and pushing a lot of buttons.  In her spare time, you can find her doing Yoga & Pilates or camping at Pancake Bay.

Mark joined our ServiceMaster team in 2014. Mark worked at a fly-in fishing lodge for 10 years before he started in the restoration business. When we asked Mark what his favourite part of working here was he quickly let us know that it was helping people. And it's true - Mark is the guy that shows up at your door (usually within 20 minutes of an initial phone call) to assess the damage to your home before placing our crews out. He works side-by-side with our Estimators to make sure that your claim is taken care of from start to finish. Mark is IICRC certified and currently holds certifications in Fire & Smoke Restoration, Odour Control, Applied Structural Drying and Water Restoration.

Rob has resided in Sault Ste. Marie for his entire life. He worked in the glass and window industry for 28 years, with 21 years as an estimator and project manager in residential, commercial and institutional applications. He is well rounded in all aspects of construction and is capable of handling projects of any size.He joined the team at ServiceMaster in May 2002 and earned certifications with the Institute of Inspection Cleaning and Restoration Certification (IICRC) for: Fire and Smoke Restoration; Odour Control; Applied Microbial Remediation; Water Damage Restoration and Applied Structural Drying.

When he’s not working he can be found on the golf links or a sheet of curling ice or at his cottage. Rob has four children and seven grandchildren. While most of them live out of town, he does enjoy spending time with them at the cottage when he can.Rob has sat on many comities in a volunteer capacity with a propensity to help others and he brings a dedication to make whatever organization he’s with, to grow and be better. Rob welcomes any new and former clients and looks forward to serving their needs in a time of unexpected disaster in their lives.

Meet Bob. 
Bob is a homegrown Sault Ste. Marie resident and has been working in the industry for over 20 years. He began working for us in 2014. Bob scopes losses and provides quality, detailed estimates for our insurance companies and customers. He is IICRC certified and currently holds certifications in Fire & Smoke Restoration, Odour Control, Applied Microbial Remediation, Applied Structural Drying and Water Restoration. In his spare time, Bob enjoys hunting and fishing.

Mr. Patrick is a kind fellow who holds a Bachelor of Business Economics from Brock University. He has been in the restoration industry since 2010, bringing with him Project Management expertise with a strong background in financial services. Tom joined our team in 2012 and holds accreditations with the IICRC with Water Damage Restoration & Applied Structural Drying. He provides speedy resolutions from Emergency Services to final repairs. Born & raised here in Sault Ste. Marie, Tom and his family (a beautiful wife and two lovely daughters) are involved in the hockey world through the SFHA and they enjoy all outdoor activites throughout the four seasons.

Patti has been crunching numbers for over 25 years, and joined our team in 2011. Patti holds a Business Management Certificate from Sault College and keeps up to date on all aspects of her job through continuous research and studying. Patti does our Payroll and Accounts Receivable & Payable for our Disaster Restoration business, as well as for our ServiceMaster Clean division. Patti loves travelling and spending time with her family.
